The skywalk will be across Juneau Ave. between 5th and 6th street. The skywalk will be angled, which makes it a little more complex structurally. They want to make the bridge as simple as possible aesthetically and meant to be a quiet connection with a wrapped, silver metal skin. Mr. Liberto asked how it will be attached to the parking garage, which is leased to the Bucks, but owned by the city and will be open to anyone that uses the parking garage. There are no mechanical boxes on the roof - it's a heated facility, but not air conditioned and that is being fed from the arena. The lighting is in the ceiling and is continuous LED with no accent lighting on the skywalk itself so as not to draw attention from the arena. It will receive reflected light from the first story businesses and the arena.
Ms. Najera moved, seconded by Ms. Keating Kahn, for referral to the Public Works committee as presented with no suggested changes. There were no objections. | | | |
