Minutes note: A powerpoint presentation entitled "2016 AM PowerPoint" was discussed by Mr. Pérez and various HACM Staff, and included the following topics: - A quick update on HACM Financials - A thank you to HACM’s summer interns – a new program this year - An update on Choice Neighborhoods - A Celebration of Community Spirit recognizing 14 individuals and organizations Mr. Pérez closed his report with this thought: “If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.” Milwaukee’s Choice Neighborhood is a big dream and everyone must believe the dream to make it happen. Commissioner Diaz also challenged HACM staff to a goal of ensuring 100% of the children of Westlawn are immunized before Labor Day and to report at the September Board Meeting with the results.
