(Expired 5/20/2016) The applicant stated he was unaware of the items on the police report. He stated he is unaware of what happened during the pajama party, because he rented the place out for a Christmas party. He added that the loud music complaints are from surrounding bars. The applicant clarified that the bars are not near his bar, but patrons from other bars are calling in complaints about his bar. Ald. Rainey asked why they had exceeded the occupancy by almost 200 patrons. The applicant stated he is checking IDs, has security and a counter to count patrons to keep track of capacity. Ald. Zielinski stated he is concerned that a restaurant would need security. He does not want to see the quality of life decline. Barbara Cooley, President of Eastside Milwaukee Community Council, stated she is in oppostion and agrees with the previous speakers and does not want to see anymore bars open until 2 AM. Individual present in support: Patrick Kapple 2730 N Bartlett Ave is a former bar owner and understands the desire to participate in the pub crawl. He feels new businesses should be allowed to keep the same hours as existing businesses in order to compete. Ald.
