Minutes note: Five applications have been received for consideration for 2026; the Milwaukee Fire Department, the Milwaukee Election Commission, the Department of Neighborhood Services, the Department of City Development, and the Milwaukee Public Library. Committee reviewed these applications and assessed them by focusing on four main points: Defined pressing civic issue, the opportunity for creative interventions around the pressing issue, Department Strengths to support a successful PAIR residency and Potential to advance. The Subcommittee agreed to make the recommendation to the full board that the application of the Fire department with the focus on safe and survivable housing, be accepted as the PAIR program subject and collaboration. The application addressed all of the points; they presented as a strength the fact that they have fire stations all over the city, also they met the $5,000 required to put towards the project.
