AHB was incorporated in the State of Wisconsin on May 24, 2013, following a “pilot program year” at three Milwaukee-area schools. Its founding Board Members were Robert “Robo” Brumder, Lynn Rix, and William Nimke. AHB passionately believes that all youth possess invaluable assets and talents and are capable of accomplishing far more than they or others think they can. The organization was influenced by Outward Bound and other experiential education practices. By working together to build and use a functional and elegantly simple wooden boat, AHB has been successful in setting intertwining goals for character growth, education, workforce training, and more abiding relationships with our natural resources. At AHB, it is truly about “building more than a boat.”
AHB’s programs are guided by the research and practices of Swedish Sloyd Education Theory, which makes a strong correlation between handcrafts and cognitive development to advance the educational, social-emotional, and skills capacities of youth.

Since 2021, Chris has grown Hundred Acre into Wisconsin’s largest indoor vertical hydroponic farm, with a faithful following of restaurants, schools, event venues, sports stadiums, grocers and consumers.
We are a four-year-old startup operation. We grow indoors, hydroponically, controlled environmental agriculture, indoor farming using hydroponics. Located on 31st and capital inside the Century City buildings.
This was an opportunity to start growing food in a safe way on a local level to address some of the supply chain issues that were happening, on a national level as it relates to food distribution. Started with one staff and now, 20; We are scaling rapidly, growing both fresh produce at our farm. We have partners across the city doing value-add production, so co-packing of sauces with our fresh produce. What started as a small initiative to address food insecurity through new jobs and educational placement with the local schools is now scaled up to partnering with national brands like Kroger and Gordon Food Service. We are now statewide, and by the end of the year we'll be across the tri-state area, both store shelves and restaurants and schools in that tri-state area.
It is proven that we are a for-profit with a overwhelming community impact initiative, again across job creation, hands-on education, and sort of reconstituting personal agency within the food system so that people can get involved.
Also appearing to offer collaboration with Mr. Corkey and Hundred Acre, was Mr. Trasus Wright - resident of Lindsay Heights, supporting local efforts like A Taste of Lindsay Heights to provide fresh food. Who is able and ready to joint collaboration with Hundred Acre to bring young men and boys that are ready to be trained, guided and mentored. Mr. Inkkosi Imprisi and Mr Lazerion Price-Gipson said that in working under Mr. Wright's guidance has opened up resources and opportunities for a better future.

Founded in 2017, Leaders Igniting Transformation (LIT) is a Black and Brown-led nonprofit that organizes young people to build independent political power through issues organizing, electoral engagement, policy advocacy, and leadership development.
Our Mission: To build homegrown leadership, expanding access and opportunity, and promote an equitable society by engaging and organizing the leadership of young people.
Our Vision: Our vision is a future where Black and Brown young people lead the transformation of their communities, using their voices, experiences, and collective power to create just, safe, and thriving schools and neighborhoods.
The Core Focus Areas are on Issue-Based Organizing, Leadership development and Civic Engagement.
