This Resolution approves the Fire and Police Commission recommendation concerning Common Council File No. 252109 - an ordinance relating to the review of certain proposed changes to standard operating procedures and standard operating instructions
Body
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Fire and Police Commission of the City of Milwaukee, that the Fire and Police Commission recommends to the Common Council that the proposed ordinance in question, which, upon information and belief, would provide that proposed motions by members of the Common Council to modify or suspend police or fire department policies first be referred to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the Board's recommendations, provide that the Milwaukee Fire Department and the Milwaukee Police Department be afforded ten (10) days after the filing of the Board's report to file its own report with the Common Council describing the department's position on the matter
