This resolution reallocates up to $1,000 in the Community and Economic Development Fund from the MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit to the 2026 Girls’ Day at City Hall event.

Body

Whereas, Since 2010, the City has held Girls' Day at City Hall each year to inspire Milwaukee’s youth by introducing middle and high school girls to opportunities in public service and community leadership; and

 

Whereas, Girls' Day brings elected officials and community service leaders together with teens to take part in interactive activities and discussions that help students learn about leadership and community; and

 

Whereas, Common Council File Number 251677, adopted in February 2026, appropriated up to $5,000 from the Community and Economic Development Fund for the 2026 MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit; and

 

Whereas, Common Council File Number 251571, adopted in February 2026, appropriated up to $5,000 for Girls’ Day at City Hall from the MKE Community Excellence Fund Special Purpose Account; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that up to $1,000 in the Community and Economic Development Fund from the MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit is reallocated to the 2026 Girls’ Day at City Hall event.
