Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $1,485,000 with the total cost estimated to be $13,800,000.
Body
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

1st Aldermanic District

W. Birch Ave. - N. Milwaukee River Pkwy. to N. 11th St. (WT410110638): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $7,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $8,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.

W. Custer Ave. - N. 27th St. to 300 feet west of N. 27th St. (WT410110647): Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $7,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $8,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $60,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2011 construction season.

N. Milwaukee River Pkwy. - 900 feet south of W. Lawn Ave. to 730 feet south of W. Lawn Ave. (WT410110639): Relaying water main.
