Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept and fund a 2023 Homeland Security Program Southeast Wisconsin Threat Analysis Center (STAC) Intelligence and Infrastructure Protection Analyst grant from the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs Wisconsin Emergency Management in the amount of $115,000 with a city share of $0 and a grantor share of $115,000. The purpose of the grant is to improve STAC’s capabilities of prevention, protection, mitigation, and information sharing to prepare for and counter potential acts of terrorism against Wisconsin’s critical infrastructure and communities. The grant will fund an Intelligence and Infrastructure Protection Analyst to perform vulnerability assessments and other data analysis.

Whereas, Under AL#97.067, the City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs Wisconsin Emergency Management to improve STAC’s capabilities of prevention, protection, mitigation, and information sharing to prepare for and counter potential acts of terrorism against Wisconsin’s critical infrastructure and communities.
