Title
Substitute Resolution relative to acceptance and funding of Communicable Disease Prevention Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept, and fund the Communicable Disease Prevention Grant project from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health in the amount of $28,000 with a City share of $0 and a grantor share of $28,000. The funding will provide equipment, training, supplies, and marketing materials to increase the response and competencies around communicable disease issues.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health to enhance capabilities around STI strategic planning; and
Whereas, the operation of this grant program from 7/1/2022 to 6/30/2023 will cost $28,000 comprised of $28,000, or 100% grantor share and $0, or 0% City share; now, therefore, be it;
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, that the Commissioner of Health or their designee is authorized to execute the grant agreement for these funds; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2022 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Communicable Disease Prevention Grant:
