Analysis
On September 1, 2022, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 220568, establishing National Hispanic Heritage Month as an official City event and authorizing the Clerk’s Office to accept contributions to support the event. This resolution authorizes the City Clerk’s Office to expend donations to support National Hispanic Heritage Month up to $100,000 and to establish accounts for that purpose.

Whereas, On September 1, 2022, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 220568, establishing National Hispanic Heritage Month as an official City event and authorizing the Clerk’s Office to accept contributions to support the event; and
Whereas, Authorization allowing the Clerk’s Office to expend received donations requires a separate resolution; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Clerk’s Office is authorized to expend up to $100,000 annually in contributions to support National Hispanic Heritage Month; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenues from the Special Purpose Account-Contributions, Account Number 0001-2110-0001-D001-006300, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, Account Number 0001-2110-0001-009850 to the City Clerk’s Special Account 0001-1310-0001-DXXX-006300 and the Office of the City Clerk’s Estimated Revenue Account, Account Number 0001-1310-0001-009850 up to the amount of $100,000.
