This resolution amends Common Council File Number 211192 accepting and funding 2022 HIV Partner Services grant from the Department of Health Services. The amendment increases the original funding of $222,000 by 12%, or $27,000.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 211192 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept, and fund the 2022 HIV Partner Services grant from the Department of Health Services to provide testing capacity and client education; and
Whereas, the original grant provided funding of $222,000, with a Grantor share of $222,000 or 100% and City share of $0 or 0%; and
Whereas, the $222,000 for this program is increased by 12%, or $27,000 and the City share is increased by $0; now, therefore, be it;
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
Further Resolved, that the Commissioner of Health or their designee is authorized to execute the amended grant agreement in substantially the same form as any agreement included in this file; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Amend the budgeted funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2021 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled 2022 HIV Partner Services:

2. Create the necessary Special Revenue Fund Grant and Aid Project/Grant and Project Levels; budget to these Project/Grant values the amounts required under the grant agreement; and be it
Further Resolved, That these funds are appropriated to the Health Department which is authorized to:
1. Expend from the amount appropriated sums for specified purposes as indicated in the amended grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date;
2. Expend from the 2021 grant budget funds for specific items of equipment; and,
3. Expend from the 2021 grant budget funds for training and out-of-town travel by departmental staff.
