Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2022 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Election Commission, Department of Emergency Communications, Employes’ Retirement System, Health Department (Office of the Commissioner and Health Administration, Clinical Services Division, Community Health Division), Library

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210761 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Election Commission”, add footnote “(A)” to read as follows:

 

“(A)                      One position designated as bilingual.”

 

Under “General Office”, add footnote designation “(A)” to two positions of “Election Services Coordinator”.

 

Under “Department of Emergency Communications”, delete one position of “Emergency Communications Finance Services Assistant” and add one position of “Emergency Communications Financial Services Assistant”.

 

Under “Health Department, Office of the Commissioner and Health Administration”, add footnote “(RG)” as follows:

 

“(RG)                      Position funded by ARPA. Position authority will terminate upon expiration of ARPA funding.”

 

Under “Finance & Administration”, add one position of “Program Assistant III (RG)”.

 

Under “Human Resources”, add one position of “Program Assistant III (RG)”.

 

Under “Clinical Services Division”, amend footnote “(JJ)” and add footnotes “(II)” and “(ZZ)” to read as follows:

 

“(II)                      To expire 6/30/2023 unless the 2022-23 Epidemiology & Lab Capacity Preparedness Grant is extended.”

 

“(JJ)                      To expire 6/30/2023 unless the 2022-23 Well Woman Grant is extended.”

 

“(ZZ)                      To expire 7/31/2024 unless the Strengthening HAI/AR Program (SHARP) grant is extended.”

 

Under “Laboratory”, delete one position of “Microbiologist (D)” and add one position of “Microbiologist (D)(ZZ)”.

 

Under “Community Health Division”, amend footnotes “(H)” and “(O)” to read as follows:

 

“(H)                     To expire 09/29/2023 unless the Recast Milwaukee Project Grant is extended.”

 

“(O)                      To expire 6/30/23 unless the Congenital Disorders grant is extended.”

 

Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Facilities and Fleet Section”, delete one position of “Library Maintenance Supervisor (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Library Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (X)(Y)”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210761 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2022 - July 10, 2022):

 

Under “Department of Emergency Communications”, delete one position of “Emergency Communications Human Resources Assistant” and add one position of “Emergency Communications Human Resources Analyst - Senior”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210761 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 2022 - July 24, 2022):

 

Under “Election Commission, Election Services Division”, delete one position of “Election Services Business Systems Coordinator (X)”, add one position of “Election Operations and Training Manager (X)”, delete one position of “Administrative Services Coordinator”, and add one position of “Election Administrative Services Coordinator”.

 

Under “Employes’ Retirement System, Membership Services”, add one position of “Disability Specialist - Lead”.   

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 2022 (July 10, 2022).

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 2022 (July 24, 2022).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
