Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2022 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Department of Administration (Purchasing), Assessor’s Office, Election Commission, Department of Employee Relations, Employes’ Retirement System, Fire Department, Health Department, Department of Public Works (Infrastructure, Water Works)

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210761 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under” Health Department, Environmental Health Division, Home Environmental Health”, delete one position of “Environmental & Disease Control Specialist (X)”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Operations Decision Unit, Locating Services”, delete thirteen positions of “Locating Technician” and add thirteen positions of “Locator Technician”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210761 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2022 - December 26, 2021):

 

Under “Department of Administration, Purchasing Division, Administrative Services”, delete one position of “Office Assistant II (RG)” and add one position of “Office Assistant III (RG)”.

 

Under “Procurement Services”, delete one position of “Purchasing Agent (RG)” and add one position of “Purchasing Agent - Senior (RG)”.

 

Under “Election Commission, General Office”, delete one position of “Election Services Coordinator”.

 

Under “Registration Division”, add one position of “Absentee Services Coordinator (X)”.

 

Under “Fire Department, Support Services Bureau Decision Unit”, delete one position of “Investigative Compliance Officer” and add one position of “Fire Compliance Officer”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Operations Decision Unit, Communication Manhole Repairs”, delete one position of “Electrical Communication Supervisor” and add one position of “Electrical Communications Supervisor”.

 

Under “ Locating Services”, delete one position of “Locating Technician Crew Leader” and add one position of “Locator Technician Supervisor”.

 

Under Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, Commercial Services”, delete one position of “Customer Service Supervisor” and add one position of “Water Customer Service Supervisor”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210761 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 6, 2022 - March 6, 2022):

 

Under “Department of Employee Relations, Employee Benefits Division”, delete one position of “Business Operations Specialist” and add one position of “Business Finance Manager”.

 

Under “Employes’ Retirement System, Fiscal Services”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II” and “add one position of “Benefit Services Coordinator”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, Administration”, delete one position of “Water Marketing Specialist” and add one position of “Marketing and Communications Officer”.

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210761 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 13, 2022 - June 14, 2022):

 

Under “Assessor’s Office, Systems and Administration Division”, add one position of “Real Estate Modeler”.

 

Under “Real Property”, delete one position of “Senior Property Appraiser 4 (A) (X)”.

 

Part 5.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2022 (December 26, 2021).

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 6, 2022 (March 6, 2022).

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 13, 2022 (June 14, 2022).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 9.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
