Minutes note: Warren Jones, Travaux Inc.’s Vice President of Construction, stated this was the second time this item was put out to bid with a slight revision in the scope of work. Sanchez Painting has been vetted and has performed satisfactorily for Travaux, Inc. in the past. Mr. Jones noted that Sanchez Painting Contractors Incorporated are a 100% Minority-owned Business Enterprise (MBE) certified contractor. Mr. Jones concluded by responding to Directors’ questions about the bid amount and the extensive scope of work to be performed, to which he assured the Directors that Sanchez Painting Contractors Inc. has a firm grasp of what is needed on the job. WHEREAS, Travaux Inc. solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58098 during the period April 15, 2022 through April 29, 2022 for Interior Painting (TCP-12.1-RB) for Townhomes at Carver Park; and

 

WHEREAS, two sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CDST) on April 29, 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 29, 2022, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, Sanchez Painting Contractors Inc., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $870,673.00; therefore, be it,

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. that it hereby authorizes and approves accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Sanchez Painting Contractors Inc. for Interior Painting (TCP-12.1-RB) for Townhomes at Carver Park; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from Townhomes at Carver Park Tax Credit Financing; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the officers of Travaux Inc. may approve such request without any further action of the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if it is determined that such approval is required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. and the officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
