Minutes note: Melissa Krotts, HACM’s Procurement Consultant, stated that Grand Appliances has an ability to provide appliances in a variety of sizes needed at the various Housing sites and a long-standing relationship with HACM. Ms. Krotts added that there were other bidders, however they could not deliver the appliances in a similar capacity. WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) solicited bids by publication for Official Notice No. 58099 on April 22, 2022 and April 29, 2022, in the Daily Reporter, posted on HACM's website and a-notifications were sent for the purchase of ranges and refrigerators, on an as needed basis, for the HACM (HUD and LLC properties); and

 

WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received and publicly opened on Tuesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:00 P.M., all of which bidding procedures were conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, Grand Appliance, a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the only responsive responsible bid; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that they be and hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Grand Appliance, for purchase of Ranges and Refrigerators, on an as needed basis for the HACM (HUD and LLC properties) for an estimated yearly amount of $450,000.00. This contract will be effective June 10, 2022 through June 9, 2023, with the option to extend for an additional four-one year terms upon mutual consent of both parties; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these purchases will come from various funds; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the HACM be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the HACM; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED that all acts previously performed, relative to this matter, by the Commissioners and the Secretary-Executive Director of the Authority, be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
