Mr. Jones explained that BV Tetzlaff Incorporated has not done this type of work for HACM, but has for other entities. Mr. Jones stated that the bid price was higher than the estimated cost because the estimate was completed in 2016. WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Housing Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58097 during the period April 6, 2022 through April 20, 2022 for Public Construction Phase 5 Permeable Paving System at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and

WHEREAS, two sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CDST) on April 20, 2022; and

WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 20, 2022, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, B V Tetzlaff Inc., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $555,000.00; therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with B V Tetzlaff Inc. for Public Construction Phase 5 Permeable Paving System at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the Housing Authority’s Central Office Cost Center (COCC), Capital Fund Program (CFP), and the City of Milwaukee; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Housing Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Housing Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any change orders including the time of performance are needed, the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Commissioners of the Housing Authority; and, be it
