Analysis

This ordinance establishes an incentive program, administered by the department of employee relations, to provide city employees with additional benefits for completing city-approved activities.

Body

Whereas, Creating an incentive program would reward city employees for completing various activities as determined by the department of employee relations; and

 

Whereas, Activities designated by the department of employee relations may include activities to improve employee health and wellness or engagement in community service; and

 

Whereas, The city already offers various incentives to employees, such as a 3% salary increase to employees living inside the city limits and a vacation day allotment for employees who do not use sick leave; now, therefore

 

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 350-46 of the code is created to read:

 

350-46 Incentive Program. There is established a city incentive program administered by the department of employee relations to provide employees with additional benefits for completing city-approved activities.
