Title
Resolution increasing capital grantor share appropriation authority in the Sewer Maintenance Fund for 2022.
Body
Whereas, Sewer Maintenance Fund Grant & Aid Capital Account, No. 0491-2110-R999- SM320220000, provides funding on a temporary basis for projects which receive partial reimbursement through various grant and aid programs, but require the city to front the project cost; and
Whereas, The Sewer Maintenance Fund will be executing additional grantor contracts in 2022; and
Whereas, The Sewer Maintenance Fund is looking to enter into funding agreements with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District for up to $3,500,000 in Water Quality Projects and for up to $4,500,000 in Private Property I&I Reduction Projects, which has resulted in the need for $8,000,000, in additional funds; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that $8,000,000 in additional funds are appropriated to the Sewer Maintenance Fund Grant & Aid Capital Account No. 0491-2110-R999- SM320220000 ; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to establish the necessary accounts and accounting procedures to carry out the intent of this resolution.
