This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Fire Department, through its Chief, to enter into agreements as necessary to extend the Tax Intercept Refund Program (TRIP) access to private ambulance companies providing 911-based emergency medical services within the City of Milwaukee under an agreement with the City.

Whereas, the City of Milwaukee entered into ambulance service provider contracts with private ambulance service providers on or around December 19, 2017 as further set forth in Common Council File Number 171263; and

 

Whereas, providing access to the TRIP program to these private ambulance service providers will provide them with additional financial stability as they continue to provide services under their contract with the City; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Milwaukee Fire Department may extend Tax Intercept Refund Program (TRIP) access to private ambulance companies providing services within the City of Milwaukee under an agreement with the City for a period of eighteen (18) months; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, that the Fire Chief is authorized to sign such agreements as are necessary to provide this access.
