Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes the Health Department accept and fund the Advancement of Equipment Compliance with Standard 8 as a part of the Retail Standards Grant Program from the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) in the amount of $23,429 100% grantor share with no city match to define what constitutes a highly effective and responsive program for the regulation of food service and retail food establishments to meet FDA standards.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) to define what constitutes a highly effective and responsive program for the regulation of food service and retail food establishments to meet FDA standards; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 09.01.2021 to 03.31.2022 would cost $23,429 provided by the grantor 100% with no city match; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that acceptance of the grant from the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances 304-81; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2021 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Association of Food and Drug Officials:
