Whereas, The COVID-19 pandemic continues to devastate communities across the Unites States; and

Whereas, Guidance on COVID-19 safety measures has often been muddied by public discourse and changing circumstances , including the development of safe, effective vaccinations against the COVID-19 virus and the simultaneous rise of new, more infectious variants; and

Whereas, The return of City employees and visitors to the City Hall complex following quarantine creates new health and safety challenges; and

Whereas, City employees and visitors deserve clear, consistent guidelines on how to keep themselves and others safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Commissioners of Health and Public Works are directed to develop COVID-19 safety guidelines for all indoor spaces within City Hall, the 809 Building and the Zeidler Municipal Building; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the Health Department and the Department of Public Works shall implement the new guidelines within 30 days of adoption of this resolution; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the Health Department and the Department of Public Works shall submit a report to the Common Council within 90 days of adoption of this resolution on the implementation of the policy.
