Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept a $10,000 donation from the Independent Care Health Plan (ICare) to support BOMB Doula program in healthy birth outcomes.

 

Body

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and

Whereas, The Independent Care Health Plan (ICare) has approved a donation of $10,000 for the Milwaukee Health Department to support to support BOMB Doula program in healthy birth outcomes; now therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Milwaukee Health Department is authorized to accept and expend a $10,000 donation from the Independent Care Health Plan (ICare); and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a revenue account and a Dxxx class special account within the budget for the expenditure of the contribution; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer up to $10,000 from the Contribution Fund-General, account number 0001-2110-D001-006300 to the Health Department’s 0001-3810-Dxxx 001-006300 Special Account to support to support BOMB Doula program in healthy birth outcomes.
