Analysis
This resolution authorizes an easement for below and above ground electrical equipment on a City-owned property.
Body
Whereas, Wisconsin Electric Power Company, doing business as We Energies, is requesting a twelve foot wide permanent easement (“Easement”) on the City-owned property at 1755 South 32nd Street; and
Whereas, The Easement will facilitate a rewire requested by Milwaukee Public Schools (“MPS”) for the Burnham Playfield; and
Whereas, A copy of the Easement and related map is attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, The Easement is for the benefit of MPS and We Energies is not being asked to pay any fee for the Easement; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development (“DCD”) and Department of Public Works has reviewed the Easement and recommends approval; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Easement with Wisconsin Electric Power Company at the City-owned property at 1755 South 32nd Street is approved and the Commissioner of DCD, or designee, is authorized to execute the Easement and requisite closing documents.
