Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2020 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:
Fire Department, Health Department, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 190614 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Clinical Services Division”, replace footnote “(U)” to read as follows:
“(U) To expire 12/31/20 unless the Family Planning Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.”
Under “Community Health Division”, replace footnotes “(C)”, “(N)”, and “(O)” to read as follows:
“(C) To expire 12/31/20 unless the Women’s, Infant’s and Children’s Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.”
“(N) To expire 12/31/20 unless the Newborn Hearing Screening Grant is extended. Partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.”
“(O) To expire 06/30/21 unless the Congenital Disorders Grant is extended. Also partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.”
Under “Empowering Families of Milwaukee (EFM)”, delete one position of “Health Project Coordinator - EFM (0.6 FTE) (E)(X)(Y)” and add one position of “Health Project Coordinator - EFM (E)(X)(Y)”.
Under “Maternal & Child Health”, add one position of “Doula Project Coordinator - Doula Program (X)(Y)”.
Under “Fire Department, EMS/Training/Education Bureau Decision Unit”, replace footnote “(M)” to read as follows:
“(M) To expire 07/31/21 unless the Implementing Overdose Prevention Strategies at the Local Level (IOPSLL) Grant, is extended.”
Under “Police Department”, replace footnotes “(K)”, “(N)”, and “(S)” to read as follows:
“(K) High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant. Position authority to expire if HIDTA funding and the HIDTA project are discontinued or until 12/31/21 unless the HIDTA grant is extended.”
“(N) Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant: Position authority to expire 12/31/20, unless the Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant is extended.”
“(S) State Beat Patrol Grant: To expire 12/31/20 unless the State Beat Patrol Program Grant available from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance, is extended.”
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 3. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
