Body
WHEREAS, Becher Court is one of the Public Housing Developments that received Commitment for Housing Assistance Payments (CHAP) under the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) portfolio award from the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for rehabilitation work; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) received an allocation of Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority for the rehabilitation of Becher Court; and
WHEREAS, HACM currently maintains a contract with Continuum Architects + Planners SC that covers the scope of architectural, engineering, and related services required for the RAD rehabilitation work at Becher Court; and
WHEREAS, Continuum Architects + Planners SC has performed satisfactorily throughout the duration of the contract with HACM and is the architect on the Holton Terrace RAD rehabilitation project and the Merrill Park RAD rehabilitation project; and
WHEREAS, Becher Court LLC would like to “piggyback” on the HACM contract, utilizing all of the same terms and conditions; and
WHEREAS, Continuum Architects + Planners SC was asked to submit a proposal to render the services required at this time for the Becher Court RAD rehabilitation project and said proposal in the amount of $320,500.00 was determined to be reasonable and acceptable; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that it approves Becher Court LLC entering into a contract with Continuum Architects + Planners SC for Architectural, Engineering, and Related Services for Becher Court RAD rehabilitation project in an amount not to exceed 320,500.00 and for an in...
