Body
Whereas, Plaintiff Rafael Rosales filed a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee and certain employees thereof, and
Whereas, the City submitted to plaintiff an Offer of Judgment, which included an agreement to settle the lawsuit for the amount of $160,000, with certain terms and conditions;
Whereas plaintiff has accepted the terms and conditions of the City’s Offer of Judgment, and
Whereas, the City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to pay the offered amount; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a check for $160,000., payable to the People’s Law Office Trust Account, 1180 N. Milwaukee Ave., 3rd Fl., Chicago, IL 60642, in full and final payment of any claims raised in the subject lawsuit, upon receipt of an accepted and signed Offer of Judgment, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Damages and Claims Account-636506 - Fund No. 0001 - Organization 1490 - Program 2631 - Sub Class S118.
