Resolution approving an amendment, modification and termination of the Redevelopment Plan for the Green Tree Business Park Project Area, in the 9th Aldermanic District.

Analysis
Adoption of this resolution by at least two-thirds vote of the Common Council will approve amendment, modification and termination of the Redevelopment Plan for the Green Tree Business Park Project Area as desired by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee.

Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee previously approved: boundaries for the Green Tree Business Park Project Area by File No. 991473; the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee’s (RACM) Redevelopment Plan for that area by File No. 030357; Amendment 1 to that Plan by File No. 051673; and a Land Disposition Report for sale of part of the project area for the Milwaukee Job Corps Site by File No. 051675; and

Whereas, RACM wishes to amend, modify and terminate the Plan by changing the stated termination date in that Plan (November 5, 2023) to November 1, 2019; and

Whereas, By the Plan terms, the desired amendment and modification, and the effective termination, may happen in accordance with Wis. Stat. 66.1333; and

Whereas, RACM submitted to this file a proposed document to be recorded in the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds Office after Council and RACM approval of the amendment, modification and termination; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By a 2/3 vote of the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, in accordance with Wis. Stat. 66.1333, that the Council hereby approves the amendment, modification and termination of the subject redevelopment plan, as amended, and the Council further approves the document submitted to this file.
