There was discussion that there may be future opportunities for Section 3 contributions when the next cohort of Youthbuild begins. The Directors had questions about how Travaux and the Housing Authority notify potential bidders about RFPs, and also about the Section 3 and state EBE/DBE-certified businesses the organizations work with. WHEREAS, Travaux Inc. solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 57937 during the period June 14, 2019 through July 2, 2019 for Painting (HT-10.1) for Remodeling at Holton Terrace; and

WHEREAS, three sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CDST) on July 2, 2019; and

WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on July 2, 2019, during which bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, Common Links Construction LLC., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $315,550.00; therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Common Links Construction LLC for Painting (HT-10.1) for Remodeling at Holton Terrace; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from Holton Terrace LLC; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the officers of Travaux Inc. may approve such request without any further action of the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
