Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2019 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Department of Administration, Assessor’s Office, Department of City Development, Common Council-City Clerk, Comptroller, Department of Employee Relations, Fire Department, Health Department, Library, Municipal Court, Department of Neighborhood Services, Police Department, Department of Public Works

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 1IX, add footnote designations “(6)” and “(13)” to the title of “Auditing Manager”, delete footnotes “(8)” and “(16)”, and add footnote designation “(12)” to the title of “Water Plants Operation Manager”.

 

Under Pay Range 1JX, correct footnote designations for the titles of “Assessment Operations Director (1)(4)” and “Electrical Services Operations Manager (3)(6)”, delete the title “Water Plants Manager”, delete the title “Public Health Deputy Laboratory Director”, and add the title “Public Health Deputy Laboratories Director”.

 

Under Pay Range 1KX, delete the title “Administration and Project Manager” and add the title “Water Plants Manager (1)(2)”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2019 - December 30, 2018):

 

Under Pay Range 1JX, delete the title “Water Quality Manager (2)”.

 

Under Pay Range 1KX, add the title “Water Quality Manager (1)(2)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 2BN, correct footnote numbering for footnotes associated with the Resident Wage Incentive Rate.

 

Under Pay Range 2GN, correct footnote designations to the titles of “Architectural Designer II (4)(15)”, “Civil Engineer II (4)(15)”, “Crime Analyst (1)(12)”, “Electrical Engineer II (4)(15)”, “Fire Protection Engineer II (4)(15)”, “GIS Analyst (5)(16)”, “Mechanical Engineer II (4)(15)”, and “Programmer Analyst (3)(14)”.

 

Under Pay Range 2JX, add footnote designations “(5)” and “(10)” to the title of “Information Systems Auditor”.

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 2018 - June 3, 2018 in lieu of Pay Period 1, 2019 - December 30, 2018):

 

Under Pay Range 2KX, delete the title of “Legislative Coordinator - Senior” and add the title of “Intergovernmental Policy Manager”.

 

Under Pay Range 2MX, add the title of “Intergovernmental Policy Manager - Senior”.

 

Part 5.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2019 - December 30, 2018):

 

Under Pay Range 2HN, add the titles “Water Microbiologist - Senior (10)(21)” and “Water Quality Assurance Specialist (10)(21)”.

 

Part 6.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 2019 - June 30, 2019).

 

Under Pay Range 2CN, add the title “Disease Intervention Specialist Coordinator (5)(12)”.

 

Under Pay Range 2HX, add the title “Leave Administration Coordinator (4)(8)”.

 

Under Pay Range 2IX, add the title “Public Health Strategist”.

 

Part 7.  Part 1, Section 7 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 7MN, correct footnote numbering for footnotes associated with the Resident Wage Incentive.

 

Part 8.  Part 1, Section 8 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 8KN, correct footnote “(8)” to read “57.47” and correct footnote “(9)” to read “$95.79”.

 

Under Pay Range 8PN, correct footnote number for footnotes associated with the Resident Wage Incentive Rate.

 

Part 9.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 10.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 2018 (June 3, 2018) in lieu of Pay Period 1, 2019 (December 30, 2018).

 

Part 11.  The provisions of Parts 2 and 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2019 (December 30, 2018).

 

Part 12.  The provisions of Part 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2019 (June 30, 2019)

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 13.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
