Resolution approving the submission of revisions to the 2018-2022 Five-year Plan
Analysis
Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee received funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the 2019 Capital Fund Program; and
WHEREAS, during the implementation of these grants the budgets were revised to reflect revisions to HACM’s Five Year Capital Fund Program that will address HACM’s vacancy reduction plan to reduce the number of vacant units in HACM’s public housing buildings; and
WHEREAS, HACM will use these capital funds for carpentry projects to update the interiors of vacant units. These carpentry projects will include replacing flooring, cabinets, and countertops; and
WHEREAS, this revision is consistent with the Housing Authority’s Agency Plan; and
WHEREAS, the residents are supportive of these changes; now, therefore, be it;
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that the 2019 Capital Fund Program is hereby amended (Revision #1); and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary-Executive Director, or his designee, is hereby authorized to submit this revision to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and execute any and all required documents, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed, relative to this matter, by the Commissioners and the Secretary-Executive Director of the Authority, be and hereby are approved, ratified and confirmed in all respects.
