Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) solicited bids by publication by Official Notice No. 57916 on March 5, 2019 and March 12, 2019 for the purchase of ranges and refrigerators, on an as needed basis, for the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee; and
WHEREAS, six sealed bids were received and publicly opened on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M., all of which bidding procedures were conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, Grand Appliance, a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive responsible bid; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that they be and hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Grand Appliance, for purchase of Ranges and Refrigerators, on an as needed basis for the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, for an estimated yearly amount of $240,468.00, with the option to extend for an additional four-one year terms upon mutual consent of both parties; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these purchases will come from Operating Funds and Capital Fund Program; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the HACM be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the HACM; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED that all acts previously performed, relative to this matter, by the Commissioners and the Secretary-Executive Director of the Authority, be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
