Title
Resolution authorizing the issuance of a street occupancy permit to Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental for construction activities at 529 North Jackson Street, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental allowing them to occupy the west sidewalk, the right-turn lane, and west two traffic lanes on North Jackson Street to place a crane for HVAC work at 529 North Jackson Street.
Body
Whereas, Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental has been contracted for construction services at 529 North Jackson Street; and
Whereas, Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental is requesting permission to occupy the west sidewalk, the right-turn lane, and west two traffic lanes on North Jackson Street starting approximately 130 feet north of East Clybourn Street and going north 60 feet occur on or around April 6, 2019, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and April 7, 2019, 6:00 AM to Noon, in order to place a crane to hoist HVAC equipment to the building roof; and
Whereas, Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental will maintain a one south bound traffic lane on North Jackson Street; and
Whereas, Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental will open the entire roadway during non-working hours; and
Whereas, Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right-of-way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
