Resolution authorizing the issuance of a street occupancy permit to Langer Roofing for construction activities at 333 West Everett Street, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Langer Roofing allowing them to occupy the south sidewalk, parking lane and traffic lane of West Everett Street to place a crane for roofing work at 333 West Everett Street.
Body
Whereas, Langer Roofing has been contracted for roofing services at 333 West Everett Street; and
Whereas, Langer Roofing is requesting permission to occupy the south sidewalk, parking lane and traffic lane of West Everett Street starting approximately 80 feet east of Vel R. Phillips Avenue and going east 60 feet starting on or around April 15, 2019 through May 25, 2019 in order to place a crane for roofing work; and
Whereas, Langer Roofing will maintain a two traffic lanes on West Everett Street; and
Whereas, Langer Roofing will open the entire roadway during non-working hours; and
Whereas, Langer Roofing will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right-of-way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to Langer Roofing allowing them to occupy the south sidewalk, parking lane, and traffic lane of West Everett Street starting approximately 80 feet east of Vel R. Phillips Avenue and going east 60 feet starting on or about April 15, 2019 through May 25, 2019; and, be it
