Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Veit and Company allowing them to occupy the north sidewalk and northern two traffic lanes of West State Street from North 4th Street to a point approximately 430 feet to the west in order to demolish the south wall of the Bradley Center.
Body
Whereas, Veit and Company has been contracted for demolition services at 400 West State Street; and

Whereas, Veit and Company is requesting permission to occupy the north two traffic lanes and sidewalk of West State Street for approximately three days during the time period beginning on or about March 11, 2019 and ending on or about March 23, 2019; and

Whereas, Veit and Company will only close the traffic lanes between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM; and

Whereas, Veit and Company will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to Veit and Company allowing them to occupy the northern sidewalk and two traffic lanes of West State Street for approximately three days during the time period beginning on or about March 11, 2019 and ending on or about March 23, 2019; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commission of Public Works may approve additional or different dates to this proposed work.
