Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the proper City officials to execute a reciprocal agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility for purchase of water at Standby Service volume charge in the event of an emergency.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“Milwaukee”) and Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility (“Oak Creek”) executed a Reciprocal Emergency Water Service Agreement dated August 20, 1984 and thereafter renewed; and
Whereas, Milwaukee and Oak Creek desire to enter into an emergency water service agreement that supersedes the earlier agreement and reflects the change from a hydrant-to-hydrant connection to a 12-inch water main connection; and
Whereas, The proper Oak Creek officials have approved the Agreement and executed the original attached to this file; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of The City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute the Reciprocal Emergency Water Service Agreement Between the City of Milwaukee and the Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility attached to this file; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Milwaukee Water Works file with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, a fully executed copy of the Agreement.
