Substitute resolution approving construction of nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City construction cost estimated to be $12,800,560 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $13,064,560.
Analysis
This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works. The City cost of the projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be $12,800,560. The total estimated cost of these projects is $13,064,560.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
4th Aldermanic District
W. Clybourn St. - N. 32nd St. to N. 35th St. (SM495180038) File Number 180399: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $544,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $559,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2019 construction season.
N. 32nd St. - W. St. Paul Ave. to W. Clybourn St. (SM495180036) File Number 180399: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $360,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $372,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2019 construction season.
N. 34th St. - W. Clybourn St. to W. Michigan St. (SM495180037) File Number 180399: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $180,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $192,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2019 construction season.

W. Auer Ave. - N. 20th St. to N. 21st St. (SM495180055) Relaying combined sewer.(Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $91,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $101,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2019 construction season.
W. Capitol Dr. - N. Green Bay Ave. to N. 2nd St., N. Port Washington Bridge over W. Capitol Dr. (BR320150201/ST320150201) (2025-19-00) File Number 150509: Asphalt pavement resurfacing, replace curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway approaches where needed. Replacing the 4 span concrete slab bridge with a 2 span steel girder bridge, new MSE walls, abutments, and approach roadway of N. Port Washington Rd.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
