Analysis

This resolution directs the Violence Reduction and Prevention Program Manager to cooperate with the Mayor to establish a plan for offering on-site Trauma Informed Crisis training to City employees.

 

Body

Whereas, Experiencing trauma has severe effects on an individual cognitively, behaviorally, socially, and physically; and 

 

Whereas, Trauma Informed Crisis training is cost-effective and provides safe coping techniques for the volatile and intense emotions related to trauma; and

 

Whereas, The 2019 adopted City Budget contains a footnote directing the Violence Reduction and Prevention Program Manager to cooperate with the Mayor to establish a plan for offering on-site Trauma Informed Crisis training to City employees; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Violence Reduction and Prevention Program Manager shall cooperate with the Mayor to establish a plan for offering on-site Trauma Informed Crisis training to City employees.
