Title
Resolution approving an Easement Agreement related to the installation of green infrastructure improvements on a portion of the Brown Street Academy, located at 2029 North 20th Street in the 15th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution approves a Temporary Limited Easement and Permanent Limited Easement over a portion of the Brown Street Academy to allow for the installation and maintenance of green infrastructure improvements on the property that will assist in the activities of Alice’s Garden on the parcel located immediately to the north.
Body
Whereas, the City of Milwaukee (“City”), on behalf of the Milwaukee Board of School Directors is the fee owner of the property located at 2029 North 20th Street (“Brown Street Academy”); and
Whereas, The Table operates Alice’s Garden on the parcel located immediately to the north of the Brown Street Academy; and
Whereas, The Table seeks to install certain green infrastructure improvements on the Alice’s Garden property in order to collect and use stormwater for irrigation of the gardens located on its property; and
Whereas, The Table, in addition to the stormwater on its parcel, wishes to collect a portion of the stormwater from the Brown Street Academy parcel by installing certain green infrastructure elements on the Brown Street Academy parcel; and
Whereas, The Milwaukee Public Schools division of facilities and maintenance is supportive of the installation of the green infrastructure elements on the Brown Street Academy parcel; and
Whereas, In order to install and maintain the green infrastructure elements on the Brown Street Academy parcel, the Table needs an easement from the City as fee owner of the Brown Street Academy parcel; now, therefore, be it
