Title:
Resolution relative to acceptance, and funding of a Speed Enforcement 2018 grant.

Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept and fund a Speed Enforcement grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of State Patrol, Bureau of Transportation Safety in the amount of $80,000. The purpose of this grant is for the enforcement of speeding and operating under the influence by motor vehicle operators.

Body:
Whereas, Under the terms of CFDA #20.600, the City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for a Speed Enforcement grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of State Patrol, Bureau of Transportation Safety; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant from 6/13/18 to 9/30/18 would cost $80,000 of which 100% would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, the Police Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code Ordnances; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2018 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amount for the program titled: 2018 Speed Enforcement Grant:
