Body
Whereas, Ramon Arteaga, the applicant, is working to remove contamination from his property that was caused by a leaking underground storage tank; and
Whereas, As part of the remediation, the applicant, is being asked to install a monitoring well in the public right-of-way by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources; and
Whereas, Said monitoring well may only legally encroach into the public right-of-way by granting of a special privilege resolution adopted by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Ramon Arteaga, 1601 West Becher Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204 is hereby granted the following special privilege:
To construct and maintain an 8-inch diameter monitoring well in the east, 13-foot wide sidewalk area of South 16th Street. Said monitoring well is centered approximately 86 feet south of the southline of West Becher Street and 8 feet west of the eastline of South 16th Street.
Said monitoring well shall be used, kept and maintained to the satisfaction of the Commissioners of Public Works and Department of Neighborhood Services.
Said monitoring well shall be maintained or removed from the public right-of-way, at such future time as they are no longer needed, to the satisfaction of the Commissioners of Public Works and Department of Neighborhood Services.

Further Resolved, That this special privilege is granted only on condition that by acceptance of this special privilege the grantee, Ramon Arteaga, shall:
