Analysis
This resolution directs the Department of Administration - Community Development Grants Administration to prepare a request for proposals for a program to abate sex trafficking. The Health Department shall assist in preparing the request for proposals, which shall be issued no more than 60 days from adoption of this resolution. Successful responders to the request for proposals shall be presented to the Common Council for review and approval.

Whereas, On July 31, 2017, the Common Council adopted a resolution directing the Health Department to accept $10,000 from PPH 1, LLC, for the purpose of preparing a request for proposals for a program to combat sex trafficking (File No. 170628); and
Whereas, The Common Council directed that these funds would be released by a subsequent Common Council resolution upon receipt of the results of the request for proposals; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Administration - Community Development Grants Administration is directed to prepare a request for proposals for a program to abate sex trafficking as set forth in Common Council File No. 170628; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Health Department is directed to assist the Community Development Grants Administration in preparing the request for proposals; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the request for proposals shall be issued no more than 60 days from the date of adoption of this resolution; and, be it
Further Resolved, That successful responders to the request for proposals shall be presented to the Common Council for review and approval.
