Title
Resolution authorizing the transfer of funds from Capital Improvements-Advance Planning Fund accounts to subaccounts for comprehensive and redevelopment planning, land use and zoning analysis, GIS mapping and other related administrative activities.
Analysis
This resolution transfers $55,000 in funds from Capital Improvements-Advance Planning Fund accounts into subaccounts to provide graduate internships, GIS-related licensing and activities, design charrettes as well as other miscellaneous expenses as the need arises.
Body
Whereas, The Department of City Development continues work on land use and zoning analysis, citywide comprehensive and redevelopment planning and GIS activities; and
Whereas, Technical assistance in these planning activities has often been provided by outside consultants and graduate interns; and
Whereas, Funds are necessary to provide for such consultant services and graduate interns as the need arises; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller is directed to transfer the amount of $15,000 from the 2016 Capital Improvements-Advance Planning Fund, Account No. 1910-UR01216000A, to Account No. 1910-UR01211100 and $40,000 from the 2017 Capital Improvements-Advance Planning Fund, Account No. 1910-UR01217000A, to Account No. 1910-UR01211100 to be used by the Department of City Development, as the need may arise, to provide technical support and analyses and land use policy development; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of City Development is authorized to enter into such contracts and agreements, as necessary, to accomplish the intent and purpose of this resolution.
