Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Department of Employee Relations, Fire Department, Department of Public Works - Water Works

Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2017 - January 1, 2017):

Under “Fire Department, Support Services Bureau Decision Unit, Construction and Maintenance Division”, delete nine positions of “Fire Equipment Mechanic” and add nine positions of “Fire Mechanic III”.

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Plants-South Organization, Plant Automation”, delete one position of “Automated Systems Supervisor (X)”, delete four positions of “Automated Systems Specialist”, delete two positions of “Automation Technician”, delete two positions of “Program Assistant II”, add one position of “Water Plant Automation Supervisor (X)”, add four positions of “Water Plant Automation Controls Engineer”, add two positions of “Water Plant Automation Technician”, and add two positions of “Water Plant Maintenance Assistant”.

Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 18, 2017 - August 27, 2017):

Under “Department of Employee Relations, Operations Division, Labor Relations Section”, delete one position of “Labor Relations Officer”.

Under “Employee Benefits Division”, add one position of “Risk Management and Safety Officer”.
