Analysis
This resolution authorizes acceptance of an award to the City of Milwaukee Health Department for winning the 2017 President’s Community Engagement Award from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee Health Department’s Public Health Lab was awarded the 2017 President’s Community Engagement Award; and

Whereas, The Health Department received $2,000 for winning the award; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the contribution is accepted pursuant to s. 304-24 of the Code of Ordinances, for $2,000, to be deposited into a revenue account to be established by the Comptroller and used by the Health Department for Lab personnel continuing education and training, with the intent that all amounts deposited be used for this Program and carried over as need be; and, be it

Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the Health Department’s budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Special Purpose Account for Contribution, 0001-2110-0001-006300, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-009850, to the Health Department’s Special Account, 0001-3810-006300-DXXX and the Health Department’s Estimated Revenue Account, 0001-3810-0001-009850, up to the amount of $2,000; and, be it
