Resolution authorizing the issuance of a street occupancy permit to C.W. Purpero for installation of private utilities at North 17th Street, North 18th Street, and West Wells Street adjacent to the Marquette Dormitory at 721 North 17th Street in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to C.W. Purpero allowing them to occupy the western two thirds of North 17th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue; the southern half of West Wells Street between North 17th Street and North 18th Street; and the entire North 18th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue.

Whereas, C.W. Purpero has been contracted to install private utilities serving the Marquette Dormitory currently under construction at 721 West Wells Street; and
Whereas, C.W. Purpero has requested to occupy the western two thirds of North 17th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue for period of nine days beginning approximately May 1, 2017; the southern half of West Wells Street between North 17th Street and North 18th Street for a period of 12 days; and the entire North 18th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue for a period of 14 days; and
Whereas, C.W. Purpero will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure of the streets and the affected dates; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to C.W. Purpero allowing them to occupy the western two thirds of North 17th Street between West Wells Street and...
