Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement titled “Cost Sharing Agreement Between the City of West Allis and the City of Milwaukee“ for the cost sharing of the asphalt surface overlay of West Lincoln Avenue from the Union Pacific Railroad Right of Way to South 61st Street in the 11th Aldermanic District with a total estimated cost of $1,300,000, of which the City’s share is $125,000 and the City of West Allis’ share if $1,175,000.
Body
Whereas, The street was constructed with concrete in 1964 and is in need of rehabilitation; and

Whereas, The project is included in the Department of Public Works High Impact Resurface Program; and

Whereas, The Cities of West Allis and Milwaukee share jurisdiction ownership of the roadway and will share the construction costs; and

Whereas, The City of West Allis will be the lead agency of the project design and construction; and

Whereas, This project is programmed for construction in 2017; and

Whereas, Funding for the construction phase of the project was included in resolution 170020 (ST216170101); now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public works is hereby authorized to execute the project agreement titled “Cost Sharing Agreement Between the City of West Allis and the City of Milwaukee for the cost sharing of the rehabilitation of West Lincoln Aven...
