Body

WHEREAS, The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee owns and manages approximately 3,560 units of low-rent public housing under the terms of an Annual Contributions Contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) promotes self-sufficiency and homeownership opportunities; and

WHEREAS, the property at 4135 N. 48^th Street is a 3-bedroom single-family home located in the 7th Aldermanic District.  This was a bank foreclosed property that was rehabilitated under the Market Rate Program; and

WHEREAS, the Secretary-Executive Director recommends that the offer from Barbara Dawson to purchase 4135 N. 48^th Street in the amount of $70,000 be accepted; and

RESOLVED, by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that the offer from Barbara Dawson to purchase 4135 N. 48^th Street. in the amount of $70,000 is hereby accepted; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary-Executive Director is hereby authorized to take whatever action is necessary to complete the sale of this property.
