Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Authority) solicited proposals by Official Notice No. 57787 on February 23, 2017 through March 15, 2017 for a Stormwater Structure at Browning Elementary School at Westlawn Gardens.

WHEREAS, two proposals were received by the deadline of 2:00 p.m. (CDST) on Wednesday, March 15, 2017; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were publicly opened on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, during which bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, D&H Demolition submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $39,600.00; and

WHEREAS, the Authority determined that this bid was made in error and D&H Demolition withdrew its bid; and

WHEREAS, Dakota Intertek Corp., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the other bid in the amount of $1,669,000.00; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the proposal of and entering into a contract with Dakota Intertek Corp. for a Stormwater Structure at Browning Elementary School at Westlawn Gardens; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
