Analysis
Currently, the zoning code requires, for any new building or addition constructed in the NS2, LB2 or RB2 zoning district, an overhead garage door which faces the street to be set back at least 4 feet from the front façade of the main building mass.
This ordinance also applies the 4-foot (minimum) setback requirement to a street-facing overhead garage door on any new building or building addition in the LB3 local business zoning district.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 295-605-2-i-5 of the code is amended to read:
295-605. Design Standards.
2. PRINCIPAL BUILDING STANDARDS.
i. Design Features.
i-5. Overhead Garage Doors Facing Streets. For any new building or addition constructed in the NS2, LB2, >>LB3,<<or RB2 district, an overhead garage door which faces the street shall be set back at least 4 feet from the front façade of the main building mass.
